Headhunter

A headhunter is a specialized recruiter who specifically searches for highly qualified specialists and managers on behalf of companies.

In contrast to traditional recruitment methods, in which companies advertise vacancies through advertisements, headhunters pursue a proactive strategy: They identify and contact potential candidates directly, even if they are not actively looking for a job.

Headhunters draw on an extensive network, recommendations, social media platforms such as LinkedIn and special databases to find the best talent. They play a central role, particularly in industries with a shortage of skilled workers or for highly specialized and managerial positions, as they help companies to address hard-to-reach or passive candidates who would not be reached via traditional recruitment channels.
